I'm glad to see that Governor Perry will not ignore the Texas Constitution on this one. So many politicians ignore the constitution, whether it be at the state level or federal. Many of the political problems we have to deal with in the world today stem from this. In my opinion, Lloyd Doggett has done this to alienate Texas teachers from Governor Perry in an election year. It's also my opinion that he had hoped Governor Perry would go back on his word promising to uphold the Texas Constitution. I hope that Governor Perry is successful in finding a "legal" alternative to obtain these funds for Texas teachers.
